Communicating with the World - Case Study

Communicating with the World

Glenhurst School is a small, independent Kindergarten and School, situated in the heart of Havant, for boys and girls aged 2 and a half to 8 years old.

We had broadband installed in October 2005, and we have already noticed a huge difference in several areas of business. Firstly, we now have four channels of communication open at all times: email, Messenger, Skype and the good old fashioned telephone.

This has enabled parents to contact us more easily and readily, especially from their places of work, confident in the knowledge that we will be able to respond immediately.

We are also able to check and update our website www.glenhurstschool.co.uk, and we have just set up a uniform ordering service link, in addition to prospectus requests.

Secondly, broadband allows us to research and purchase products and services online, bank online, and we are planning to file our annual tax return online too.

And lastly, thanks to the Hampshire Broadband e-learning grant, we are planning to do some online training. None of this would have been possible without broadband, and we can't imagine life without it now! Jo Hollingshead www.glenhurstschool.co.uk
