Dial up was the weak link for a thriving company - Case Study
Written by James Ryan (13 Oct 2005)

We finally were able to have broadband installed in May 2005 after our local exchange was upgraded.

It has been a real revelation, before we had a dial up connection shared with the fax line which meant we only really picked up emails in the morning.

Also because we make one off furniture we sometimes needed to send off digital pictures which was problematic and frustrating with the dial up.

Broadband means I can send off multiple hi res images with ease. Communication via email is great as I can respond quicker.

Sourcing materials and ordering over the net is quicker and simpler.

Lastly it feels like the PC actually works properly, it always felt like the dial up connection was the weak link in an otherwise strong chain.
