We produce all our design drawings using CAD in both 2 & 3D and Solid Modelling and these can be quite big files when complete. Our customers like us to email the finished work direct to them.

 

Before we were connected to Broadband this process would take a long time as most of these files ran in to several mega bites of information.

 

Analysis of our phone bill at the end of each month showed that our spending on sending these files by the old ISDN system was higher than the cost of having Broadband. An average file would take anything up to an hour to send and would probably fail at least once during that period.

 

We were approached by Hampshire Broadband with the offer of a grant towards the installation and set up costs for the service, so it was an easy decision to make.

 

BT offered us a 2MB up grade without any additional cost which further enhanced the decision and we have not regretted it since.

 

Being able to look for product information on the internet is also a great help in our business. Before we made the change there was always a concern over the amount of time you were on line.

 

Now we know that each month it will cost the same making it much easier to control our costs.
